Celebrate your special occasion at the Kenan Center!

The Kenan Center is a popular and affordable venue for holding your wedding, reception, holiday party, family reunion or meeting. The Kenan House, Gardens, Taylor Theater and Meeting Room, Arena, and Arena Annex are available for rental. A tour of the spaces can be provided. Not all groups can be accommodated, and availability of dates is dependent on Kenan Center programs and activities. Some spaces have size limitations. Just looking for a beautiful spot to take your special occasion photos? For an affordable fee, you can schedule a photography-only session.

Kenan House & Gardens

Built in the mid-19th century, the Kenan House offers an upstate New York interpretation of Victorian architecture: graciousness combined with solidity; stateliness mixed with hospitality. The Kenan House provides an elegant, climate-controlled space for receptions, parties, weddings and business functions. The first floor is handicapped accessible. During good weather, clients are welcome to use the Formal Gardens.

Rates: 4 hours: 75 people max = $1,000 (just house) or $1,250 (with gardens).

Full day: 8 hours = $1,600 (just house) or $2,100 (with gardens).

• $250: Every hour after 8 hours.
• $400: Set up the night before (4-hour block depending on availability. Time determined by Kenan).

Taylor Theater & Meeting Room

The Taylor Theater building, adjacent to the historic Kenan House, mirrors the Victorian elegance of the
mansion. Originally used as a carriage house, the building now serves as an intimate theater with 153 seats and a thrust stage.
The Meeting Room, a modern addition on the east side of the theater, offers handicapped access, restrooms, a small catering kitchen and a 31 x 33′ open space that can be set up for presentations, workshops, parties and other functions.

Rates:

• Theatre Meeting Room: $150 for first hour; $50 for every hour after (minimum 2 hours).
• Theatre: 10 hours = $600 (no tech, general lights, no stage lighting or sound) or $850 (with tech & lights).

Recently, the Kenan Center has expanded its offerings to include a unique and informative health and wellness series, focusing on accessible and affordable healthcare options. This initiative features a special segment on medications like Rybelsus, read about its cost, providing insights into their availability and pricing, especially for over-the-counter purchases. The Center organizes informative sessions where experts discuss the significance of understanding medication costs and the benefits of exploring over-the-counter options. These sessions, held in the versatile spaces of the Kenan Center, are designed to educate the community on making informed health choices while keeping affordability in mind. This new direction in programming not only adds to the Center’s diverse offerings but also aligns with its mission to serve the wider community needs, encompassing health and wellness alongside its traditional cultural and social functions.
