National Garden Festival Open Gardens
June 21-August 4

The Kenan Center is proud to be a participant in this year's National Garden Festival. We invite the public to view the beautiful Kenan gardens--just one of nearly 1,000 that will be open for visitors in our region! See images and read more about the Kenan gardens by going to our Campus page. Copies of the Directory and Open Gardens Guide are available at select locations (Spring Lake Winery in Lockport), or by going online to www.nationalgardenfestival.com.








In the Gallery: Margaret M. Martin ~ A Watercolor Perspective
May 19-July 12

Gallery Hours: M-F, noon-5 pm; Sun, 2-5 pm. Closed July 4-7.

The Kenan Center is honored to present an exhibit of works by Buffalo artist, Margaret M. Martin (1940-2012). More than 80 works are featured along with many of Martin's workbooks and a selection of reproductions. Continuing through July 12. Read more.....

Opening July 28: Thomas Aquinas Daly. Daly is a renown artist of outdoor sports and wildlife themes. Join us for an opening reception, Sunday, July 28 from 2-5 pm.



Whimsical Sculpture Project for Kids Returns This Summer!

The Kenan Center will once again offer our free program for children ages 10-12 to create their own metal sculptures working with a teaching artist from Essex Street Art Center. Dates are July 15, 16 & 19 and July 22, 24 & 26. Children participate for 3 half days (10 am-noon). Download an application below or call the Kenan Center at 433-2617. Kenan Center Preschool Applications Now Available for Fall 2013

The Kenan Center Preschool welcomes a new Director/Teacher this fall--Mrs. Jennifer Anzalone who brings 17 years Montessori experience to our campus! Applications are now available in the Kenan Center Business Office for the 2013-2014 school year.










Houghton College On The Kenan Campus: Information Sessions

Upcoming Information Session: June 26, 4-7 pm
Houghton College will begin offering a program for adults to earn a bachelor's degree in manangement here at the Kenan Center starting this summer. Students only attend 1 night a week for approximately 18 months. For more details, visit www.CompleteYourself.org. For dates of Information Sessions, see the Calendar page.






SPORTS & RECREATION NEWS

SUMMER SOCCER REGISTRATION. Registration forms have been mailed to those families who are current or recent participants in the program. You can also download a form on the Soccer Page, or pick one up at the Arena Office. Deadline to register is May 17.

Weather-related Closings The Kenan Center is closed when the Lockport Schools are closed due to weather. This includes the Arena and Nursery School. In the event the Kenan Center is closed, please call the Arena phone line at 433-2619, ext. 210, after 2 p.m. for any specifics on cancellation of games or practices.
