McCollum Orchards will be joining us--pick up fresh fruit and veggies while you're here--plus North Forty Pony Express. All activities included. 10:30 AM-12:30 PM. $5 per family. JULY 30TH: Hilarity for Charity: Stand-Up Comedy Hosted by Nicki SpinFeaturing Allie Brady, Cody Colin Chase, BC Garvey, Josh Potter, Kevin Thomas Jr, and Brandon Trusso. For ages 21 and over. $10 in advance and at the door. Taylor Theater. 8 PM. All proceeds benefit the Kenan Center.
AUGUST 12: N.U.R.T. Returns with Storytelling Fun!The Niagara University Repertory Theatre is back to share children's favorite stories and songs for kids of all ages. Approximately 45 minutes. Free. Taylor Theater. 1 PM.
AUGUST 19: in jest Variety Theater with Nels RossExperience gravity-defying, knock-your-socks-off comedy, juggling, and stunts by comedian Nels Ross. $15 pers family (1 adult/2 children), or $5 person. Doors open at 10:30 AM. Taylor Theater.
NOV 5TH: Kenan Speaker Series Presents Diana Butler BassTher Kenan Center and First Presbyterian Church of Lockport proudly present author, speaker, and noted historian on American religion, Diana Butler Bass. Her books include Grounded: Finding God in the World, Christianity for the Rest of Us, and others. Coming February 11, 2017: Jeremy Begbie, Thomas A. Langford Research Professor at Duke Divinity School and author of "Music, Modernity & God," and "Resounding Truth: Christian Wisdom in the World of Music." Dr. Begbie teaches systematic theology and specializes in the interface between theology and the arts. In addition to being a musician, he is ordained in the Church of England and is director of Duke Initiatives in Theology and the Arts.
Watercolor Painting Workshop & Classes with Kathleen GilesKathleen will lead a "Wet-in-Wet, Flowers and Fabrics" workshop August 22-25 from 9:30 am-12:30 pm. $240. Also coming up is her fall "Painting Your Best Watercolors," classes, Thursday from September 8-November 3. $160. FOR KIDS: Register Now for Camp Invention®Camp Invention® is designed for children entering grades 1-6, and is based on STEM academics. It will take place August 1-8 from 8:30 am-3:30 pm.
