Kenan Center Montessori
A hands-on, child-centered classroom for ages 3–5, right here on campus.
On campus
Learning in a place kids can explore.
Kenan Center Montessori sits on a 25-acre campus with gardens, house, and room to move. The prepared classroom is the heart of the day — and the estate gives children space to wonder beyond the work mats.

Learn the Montessori way
Freedom within clear limits.
Montessori is a philosophy and method of education that emphasizes the potential of the young child, using specially designed materials that connect abstract ideas to real, hands-on experience. Children build understanding through movement, repetition, and their own senses — one concrete task at a time, in a richly structured environment.
Kenan Center Montessori (KCM) welcomes children ages 3–5 into a multi-sensory, hands-on classroom built on freedom of choice within clear limits. Kids work individually and in small and large groups, developing focus, independence, and a love of learning that carries well beyond the school day.
Scholarships are available for families who qualify — contact the Business Office at 716-433-2617 to request a scholarship form, or download the form online. Applications are accepted year-round, based on space availability.
Maria Montessori
Working as if the teacher did not exist.
“The greatest sign of success for a teacher… is to be able to say, ‘The children are now working as if I did not exist.’”
