The Kenan Center is proud to present Music at the Taylor.

The Taylor Theater is centrally located on the Kenan Center Campus and can be accessed by both Beattie Avenue and Locust Street. Concerts are from 7-9 p.m. Doors at 6:30 p.m. Refreshments available before and during intermission. Follow us @kenanlockport on social media for updates or cancellations.

The Buffalo Jazz Composers Workshop Album Release

BJCW is an improvising ensemble of composers and musicians from Buffalo, NY who work collaboratively to present new, original music to audiences across WNY and beyond. In January of 2022, the band went into the studio to record their debut album featuring music and performances of each member of the band. They will perform selections of the album on the Taylor Theater stage, along with the help of some special guests from the Buffalo jazz scene.

Star People’s 40th Anniversary Miles Davis Album Concert
In April 1983, Miles Davis released his classic recording “Star People” which extended his dive into experimentation with electric instruments and pushed the boundaries of what a modern jazz group could sound like. The WNY band Star People (from which the name originated from) will celebrate the 40th anniversary of Miles Davis’ groundbreaking album and perform selections from this and other albums of his contemporaries from this period.
