We’re planning some fun programs for children and families! Be sure to mark your calendars:
Tales at the Taylor Theater: Join us as we read seasonal tales on the Taylor Theater stage followed by activities and craft. Recommended for ages preschool and up, $5/child. Advance registration required by calling 433-2617. Sunday, February 11, Sunday, April 25, and Sunday, June 17, 3-5 PM.
Winter & Spring Break Programming

Register Now for Camp Invention!
Camp Invention is the summer program that offers kids fun, hands-on activities that encourage creative problem solving, teamwork, entrepreneurship, and curiosity. Camp Invention is a STEM-based program, with activities led by local educators. This year, every child will take home two custom robots! The program takes place July 30-August 3 from 9:00-3:30 pm. So that our staff can enjoy the holidays with their families, the Kenan Center will be closed Dec. 22 and Dec. 25. The Business Office will be closed Dec. 22-Jan. 1
The Kenan Center soccer program offers a 4-year-old clinic, and league play for ages 5-17. Forms are mailed to recent participants, or can be picked up at the Kenan Arena Office. You can also download a form on the soccer page. Links for online registration will be posted soon. Deadline to register is December 15.
This year, the Kenan Center celebrated its 50th anniversary of serving the community with arts, education and recreation programs. How the Kenan Center came into existence, and the legacy of Lockport businessman and philanthropist William R. Join us October 22 as we kick off a new story hour series with a fun Halloween twist! Crafts, activities & Trick or Treating, too!
Children & Music with Mary Dunn uses music to encourage early learning and creativity in young children. Music is the means, not the goal. American Sign Language and Toddler Yoga incorporated into classes. Mary Dunn, instructor, has taught a children’s music program at the Kenan Center for more than 21 years. For information, contact Mary Dunn at 531-3104. Fee: $110 Kenan members/$120 non-members. Deadline to register is September 29.
The World Around Us. For ages 15 months – 3 1/2 years. 10 weeks beginning October 3 for Tuesday classes; October 4 for Wednesday classes. Tuesdays, 9:30-10:15 AM; Tuesdays, 10:30-11:15 AM. Wednesdays, 9:30-10:15 AM; Wednesdays, 10:30-11:15 AM.
TO REGISTER FOR CLASSES. Call 433-2617 to charge by phone or visit the Kenan Center Business Office, M-F, 9 am-4:30 pm. All class fees are due at the time of registration.
REFUND POLICY. 100% refunded up to 7 days before a one-day class/workshop or first week of a multi-week class. No refunds if less than 7 days prior to the class starting date. Classes may be cancelled due to low enrollment.
The Kenan Center offers scholarships that allow those in need the opportunity to participate in our programming. Contact the Business Office at 433-2617 to request a scholarship form.
