Fall Programming at Kenan!

We have a variety of fun arts and educational programming for all ages this Fall! Learn macrame, decorate your own pumpkin, or take the stage with Missoula Theater!

Learn how to make your own macramé hanging planter with instructor Vanessa Frost, artist and owner of MUSEjar. You will learn the basic knots and patterns used in macramé. The final product will be enhanced with an heirloom pumpkin to fit in with your home décor for this fall season!

Price: $35 member l $40 non-member
Ages: 13 years and up (13-17 accompanied by an adult)

Two fun activities in one workshop!
 
Children five years old and up will decoupage pumpkins using old books and classic paper mache mix of flour and water with the guidance of Janna Willoughby-Lohr, from Papercraft Miracles and Kenan Center’s KidQuest.
 
Participants can also learn the processing of Eco-Printing with artist Amanda Hibbert. Eco-printing is a method of bundling leaves and other plants in fabric, and steaming the bundle(s) to print their natural pigments onto the fabric.
 
Pumpkins, material, snacks and fun are all included! Adults are invited to stay for the fun, but are not required to.

The Kenan Center welcomes the Missoula Children’s Theatre to campus! The Amazing Adventures of Robinson Crusoe is taught and rehearsed throughout the week of October 15 – October 18 by Missoula Directors at the Kenan Center. Two public performances follow on Saturday, October 19th 3PM & 7PM at Starpoint High School.
