A Photographic Celebration of the Erie Canal: Featuring works by F.B. Clench. On view from April 25 through June 6, 2021.

The Lockport Locks Heritage District Corporation, in collaboration with the Kenan Center, presents an exhibit that will trace the life of photographer Frank Bernard Clench and the genesis of photography in the latter part of the 19th Century in upstate New York and Lockport’s Erie Canal. About F.B. Clench’s work.

Lockport photographer Dennis Stierer serves as special consultant in creating and curating the exhibit showcasing examples of early photographic equipment and a collection of F.B. Clench’s work. The second floor of the Kenan House Gallery will include local photographer’s work capturing the Lockport Erie Canal. Local photographers include David Stockton, Kevin Miller, Jeff Tracy, Donna Jordan Dusel & Lee Williams (Pugbully Studio).

Special Event: The Journey from Clay to Bronze: A lecture with Artist Susan Geissler

Taylor Theater Meeting Room on Sunday, May 2 at 2PM. Reservations required. Susan is the designer and producer of the Lock Tenders Tribute Monument of cast bronze sculptures in the Lockport Locks.
Fee is $5 Member l $10 Not-Yet-A-Member.
